Game Workshop in Gurgaon

This was the first game workshop we conducted in Gurgaon, India with 30 children. This is an afterhours school run by the BG Foundation for drop-out children. We played the game of Pictionary with the children customizing the words in Hindi language and fitting them to the children’s context. All children took turns to come up to the board and express the word in drawing. After guessing the correct word, children were asked if they knew the word’s meaning and it’s English synonym. It was encouraging to see the children so engaged and excited to participate. By the end of the hour long workshop, every child on an average knew 6 words with their meaning and English synonym and had for the first time expressed themselves by drawing to the class.
